April 2015

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Humphrey and I was born in 1993 in Flagstaff, Arizona USA.

Currently living in Cottonwood, AZ, with my Mom and Dad, by the way of Florida and Hawaii; don't ask!

Explained through my stories?

Maybe....

You'll just have to follow my tales each month.

DISNEYLAND'S  ROYALTY

While on vacation at Disneyland, I put aside time to be used to visit the Royalty of Disneyland.

I had to make arrangements in advance and in writing to the Castle. In my letter of request I made note that I was an official reporter for Bears&Buds, the original online teddy bear magazine and I hold the title of 'Cub Reporter-Journalist'.

I was accepted.

Last night I took a bath and brushed my fur. I wanted to give a good impression since I was representing the magazine.

My boss would be upset if I missed this opportunity because I looked like a bear that just stepped out of the woods.

I even put on my official mouse ears.

So, I'm as ready as I ever will be.

Strutting through the crowds at Disneyland and looking 'good.'

I headed directly to the Castle with my 'acceptance' letter in hand.

When I reached the entrance there was a Castle Guard watching me approach.

She smiled and inquired as to what my business was at the Castle.

I handed her my official acceptance letter for my visit.

She checked the letter very carefully and then gave the letter to another guard who disappeared into the Castle.

While we waited she offered me tea and cookies and shared lots of Castle stories with me.

The Royal cookies were perfect!

Finally I was summoned by another Castle guard to follow him closely.

Walking through the Castle was 'magical'.

Everywhere I looked I could see sparkling chandeliers, velvet drapes and doors with gold ornate trim.

When the first door opened I was instructed to walk in and pay my respect to each of the Princesses I would meet.

Standing in front of me was the beautiful Ariel smiling at me and welcoming me to the Kingdom.

My heart stopped and my ears almost fell off from the excitement.

We talked about how she helps the water creatures that live in the lakes surrounding the Kingdom.

Then I walked into another room and there was Snow White.

I skipped towards her and sang 'Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho' on the way. I couldn't help it., impulse made me do it.

She laughed and said she might consider proclaiming me the 8th dwarf.

Snow White told me she preferred having a good time over being 'proper'.

That's my kind of girl!

Again I was directed into another room. WOW!

There she was; Cinderella.

Her dress sparkled like diamonds and she was perfect.

She showed me her glass slipper and told me all about Prince Charming.

My time was over but before I left, she gave me a hug and said I could be her 'Prince Charming Bear'.

Even my ears blushed.

As I departed, all of the Princesses waved to me and invited me back.

YES, I will be back!

I started to walk out of the Castle when two guards directed me towards them.

What did I do this time?

They smiled and said that the word spread throughout the Kingdom that I had a visit with the Princesses and they were summoned to get me.

The next thing I knew I was cold and fighting snowflakes.

Surprise!

Elsa and Anna from 'Frozen' were awaiting my arrival.

While I was spending time with Elsa and Anna, Olaf made an appearance too.

He wondered what I was doing!

We had a great time rolling in the snow and then Elsa and Anna taught me how to 'build' a snowman.

Because it was so cold I was glad I had both my mouse ears and Santa hat to keep me warm in the Land of Frozen.

I will cherish these moments forever.

Royals can be cool!

That evening there was a parade with Disney characters and beautiful floats.

When the snow float appeared representing 'Frozen', Anna and Elsa blew me a kiss while OLAF hit me with a snowball.

The float was too fast and Olaf got away - this time!

Tomorrow is a fun day at Disneyland, no commitments,
just rides, food and spending time in the land of 'MAGIC'.

Join me for another adventure next month!
