DISNEYLAND'S PIXIE HOLLOW |
|
My first day at the Disneyland Park was about to begin
as I stepped off the
horse-drawn trolley at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.
The Kingdom is
dressed for the Holiday Season with decorated Christmas trees, sleighs and
even the Cinderella's Castle is wearing festive lights, garland and icicles, giving the
Castle a frozen affect at night when the lights are turned on.
|
There will be time for sightseeing later because I'm here for six wonderful days! Celebrating the holidays with my family.
Now is the time for me to seek the 'source' of the 'magic' and that is at Pixie Hollow where Tinker Bell lives.
She is known as the 'Keeper of the Dust,' that being magical fairy dust.
She assigns the fairies where and when the 'dust' is to be used.
As I approached the path leading into Pixie Hollow there were signs welcoming me.
I began to shiver with excitement!
|
|
The flower fairies were busy doing their chores but one directed
me to the path where Tinker Bell lives.
|
|
|
Following the directions through dense foliage and flowers, I was careful
not to stray off the path.
Suddenly I saw movement in the foliage and in a
blink of an eye there was Peter Pan, standing in front of me!
He was in his
normal boyish mood and offered to take me for a quick flight around the Hollow.
Of course I said 'WOW' and off we flew over the trees and around the
Hollow.
|
I told Peter Pan I was in Pixie Hollow to meet Tinker Bell so he set me
down gently just outside the door to her home.
I knocked and entered.
|
|
|
Inside I noticed a toadstool with a sign that read 'Please sit here.
So I sat there and I sat there.
|
A long time seemed to pass or so I thought, because I was really excited to
be there.
Along came a beautiful flower fairy to welcome me and to keep me
company while I waited.
Her wings fluttered and sparkled in the sunlight.
I
was really in Pixie Hollow and about to meet Tinker Bell. |
|
|
|
Suddenly another door opened and there she was; Tinker Bell.
She
really is real!
You just need to BELIEVE!
Tinker Bell walked over to me smiling and
said she was glad I came because she doesn't get many visits from bears,
especially ones that write articles of his adventures for a teddy bear magazine.
How did she know that?
I asked about the 'magic' and she told me that the
secret of 'magic' lives in my heart and that I spread happiness to all those
I
come in contact with.
|
I didn't have to look for magic because 'magic'
happens within ourselves.
Now my search is over; magic lives in my heart!
Tinker Bell's Fairy Dust is a reminder to create your own MAGIC! |
We shared stories and adventures that I will hold close to my heart
forever.
We exchanged warm hugs and a special kiss.
|
|
As she hugged me she
sprinkled some extra fairy dust in my fur.

ever again! Tinker Bell art courtesy of Disney. |
|
As I left the Hollow it was night time and all the flowers were
glowing to illuminate the path, showing me the safe way out
of Pixie Hollow.
|
I had such a great time for just a moment in time.
I discovered what
'MAGIC' really is and where 'MAGIC' comes from.
AND best of all, Tinker Bell
kissed me!
I danced across the illuminated flowers and I slipped.
Reality set in. I did not have wings, so I could not fly.
Where is Peter Pan when I need him?
|
|
|
Near the end of the path
I decided to sit on another cluster of flowers and wait for Mom and Dad to rescue me.
Time to reflect on that sweet kiss.
Sigh.
|
Tomorrow is another day in the Kingdom and more adventures are to be
discovered.
Guaranteed!
|
|
Join me for another adventure next month! |
