"From personal experience I know the sense of emptiness and loss involved in miscarriage," began Rhonda-Lynne from Canada.
"We
had multiple miscarriages but no matter what we did nothing worked. We both felt the loss overwhelming at times.
For me it was a void I just couldn’t fill."
Rhonda-Lynne said hugs helped her get through sad times, but there wasn’t always someone around to hug.
"I cuddled the bear that was a gift from my husband when we were first dating. I wore that little bear almost to scraps".
There was something about curling up around that bear and snuggling was soothing and healing for her.
"I wanted to create this line of bears to try to help others in some little way, to give some comfort to those who have also experienced this life altering loss." she said.
In her line of Infant Loss bears there are 3 sizes of bears to allow the grieving mother to pick the perfect snuggle size.
Depending on the bear’s size they can be weighted up to 9lbs/4kg to match the
baby’s weight.
Once you have decided on the size and weight of your bear then Rhonda-Lynne works with you to
choose the bear's fabric colors and style.
Fabric options can be out of her stock, or the client can bring in fabric, if you don’t find something that suits you.
Each bear comes wearing a baby onesie and a little blanket to wrap him/her up in. |
