MY VACATION CONTINUES |
|
I'm back at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida for my second day of fun
and adventure.
I could hardly wait to meet my favorite movie characters. They
are yellow, wear overall pants, goggles and create trouble; the kind of
trouble that is fun.
Let me introduce you to the Minions!
They are featured in
two movies, Despicable Me and Despicable Me Two and both are a fun experience.
|
|
My first stop today was at the Despicable Me ride.
There was a long line
forming to get on the ride.
Mom held me so I would pass the height
requirement.
Even the wait in line was fun because the Minions were
entertaining us.
|
The ride was scary but I loved the special effects because you felt like
you were in their movie.
When the ride was over we were directed towards the
gift shop.
On the way the Minions were waiting to get their pictures taken
with me.
|
|
|
In the gift shop a couple of Minions whispered something in Mom's ear.
She
smiled and they dared her to do the trick; she did!
I saw several camera's flashing and maybe I am a movie star!
|
Mom put me in a girl's dress and the Minions brought people over to take
photographs of me.
Getting even will come; eventually!
As for Mom, I know
where the delete button is on her camera.
As for the Minions - read on!
|
|
I found the Minions hanging out at a game booth. The idea of the game was
to use a plastic pistol to squirt water at them until you filled up a glass they
were holding. When the glass was full, the Minions fell into a bucket of water.
MY AIM
WAS 'PERFECT'. |
|
But we all made up and are still best friends. Being happy is being
Yellow!
AND
Jumping into a basket was a great way to celebrate being together.
|
During the afternoon there was a performance of 'real' Minions and they
asked me to lead the parade.
I rode on top of a mechanical Minion which was
remote controlled.
I signed autographs for the audience in between crashing
into them.
I received very little instructions on how to operate the
controls.
|
|
|
When we arrived at the end of the parade route the Minions voted me into
their 'Yellow Banana Group' and let me borrow a pair of their goggles for
photos.
|
|
Saying good-bye to the Minions wasn't easy because we shared most of the
day together creating trouble that made people laugh.
Even Mom gave a 'thumbs
up' approval.
|
|
I was so hungry I could eat a stack of hamburgers!
After lunch there was some time to explore the park.
|
I had a talk with Shrek and Donkey about any up-coming movies but they
avoided answering.
I suspect something is 'secret'.
|
|
|
The last adventure today was standing in a long line to ride this roller
coaster.
I can't believe I waited in line to be tortured.
After the steep
climb (well like they say 'what goes up, must come down') and down we came.
Spinning upside down, around and around.
Where's my wand? I want off!
Mom had
to carry me off the ride because I was so dizzy.
|
Good night Universal Studios, time to leave for the day but you haven't
won the battle of long lines, roller coasters or even being caught in a girl's
dress.
I'll be back tomorrow.
|
|
|
Next issue - My final vacation day.
Going back to Universal Studios. I'll
keep you guessing for now!
|
Join me for another adventure next month! |
