"It's All The Same . . . Pattern" For the 2013 URSA Awards Competition |
||
Bright Star Promotions challenges you to be creative, to think out of the box and to show our attending collectors that you can create a unique bear using the same pattern as other attending artists. What fun this will be! Print the pattern and get started! Pattern page 1 Pattern page 2 In "It's All The Same" challenge you can not change or modify the pattern pieces. Enlarge the pattern to be 11-12" (28-30cm) for the 2013 URSA Challenge. Make the bear out of any materials. Real fur, mohair, plush, upholstery fabric, leather, or any materials found in your studio! We need to see the bear, observe the pattern pieces so the bear may only have a bow on the head or necklace/ruff/bow around its neck. No costuming, outfits or props. You can do needle-felting or needle sculpture on the muzzle, paw pads or tummy. Embroidery on the body or paws only. This challenge is not open for needle-felters or for fully-sculpted clay bears |

Here's what is planned for the Tampa Teddy Bear Show. Display tables will hold all the "It's All The Same" bears. You will find on the display table a card with your business, your name and the price of the bear. Place the bear (standing with a stand/prop or sitting) next to the numbered card on the table. All the bears will be for sale unless otherwise noted. If a collector wishes to buy your bear from the display table, and they can not wait until 2:30, please notify me and your bear can be removed. Your votes will remain in the competition. * NO other bear can be substituted. If you have sold your bear before the show and are still registered and want to be in the competition, then place an 8"x10" framed photo on the table next to the numbered card. Attending collectors will vote for their favorite and prizes awarded at 2:30 p.m. This pattern was used in the 2011 URSA Awards Competition and at last year's Tampa Show and it was very exciting to see what the artists created, and most important this is a wonderful tool to educate the collectors . . which demonstrates that it is YOU, the artist, that brings a teddy bear pattern to life! |
